Information about Flu Shots and Influenza
All enrolled Veterans are encouraged to get a seasonal flu shot. It is especially important for Veterans over the age 50 and those who have a medical condition.
Our Durham VA Medical Center flu shot clinic will kick-off October 7 and run through December 31, 2009, in Area D on the 1st floor of the hospital. Flu shot clinic hours are from 8:30 a.m. 3:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. No appointment is necessary –just show your VA identification card.
You can also receive your flu shot during any scheduled appointment.
Flu shots are also being provided at the community-based outpatient clinics as follows:
At the Hillandale Road clinic and the Raleigh CBOC, shots will be given to walk-ins starting on October 7th from 8:30 a.m. 3:00 p.m., Monday through Friday.
In Greenville and Morehead City, shots are available for walk-in patients Monday through Friday from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Click here to learn more about the flu.
Can't Make Your Appointment? Last month, more than 20% of our patients were unable to keep their appointments. Because we did not hear from them, we were unable to reschedule that time for their fellow veterans. If you cannot make your appointment, let us help you re-schedule.
