Spinal Cord Injury Disease Program

Mission:  To provide coordination and continuity of care to veterans who have sustained injury to the spinal cord or who have non-progressive spinal cord disease.

About the Program

The Durham SCI&D Team is comprised of 2 Physicians, 2 Nurse Practitioners, and 2 Master’s – prepared Social Workers, and allied Physical and Occupational Therapists. The team provides outpatient care in its clinic; coordination of care for inpatients and outpatients, including referral to the Richmond SIC&D Center; and patient/family/health care provider education about spinal cord injury.
