At the Durham VA Medical Center, we have established a number of procedures to assist you in getting an appointment without a long delay. Our goals are simple —

• you should be able to see your primary care provider within one to two business days
• you should have faster access to speciality care

To make an appointment, please call the Medical Center at (919) 286-0411 or Toll Free at 1-888-878-6890 and press 9 to access the automated menu system and then press 4 - To leave a message for your primary care provider or make an appointment with Primary Care.

Canceling Your Appointment

To cancel your current appointments, please call the Medical Center at (919) 286-0411 or Toll Free at 1-888-878-6890 and press 9 to access the automated menu system and then press 3 - Cancel Appointment.

If you cannot keep an existing appointment, please contact us as soon as you are aware you cannot make your appointment. This will allow us to reschedule you sooner as well as schedule one of your fellow veterans for the original appointment date and time.
